Three Years of Blogger!
Whoa. What a year it has been. Between starting my second year of college, landing my first job, and of course lots of hard work, lots has gone on since January 16, 2013.
I still remember when Blogger was Blogspot, and when I was so excited about my new camera, the Sony cyber-shot DSC-HX1, that I started this blog to write about it.
In the same vein, today I'd like to introduce you to my new camera, the Panasonic DMC-LX7. Released in 2012, it is an enthusiast's compact camera, boasting a 10.1 MP 1/1.7" sensor and a 24-90mm (135 equivalent), Leica f/1.4 - f/2.3 lens. Manual controls abound, wich aperture and shutter priority modes, program auto, full manual, and of course a smorgasbord of various "scene" settings (i.e. Toy Camera, Fireworks, Action, ...). I've been having a lot of fun shooting it, taking advantage of the great low-light capability as well as speedy autofocus and compact size.
(Please pardon the dust; as a black camera with some glossy surfaces, the dust seems worse than it is.)

New Layout and New Page
Hi everyone,
I'm back on winter break, and since it's so cold (-45 F wind chill) I didn't have to go in to work (I've got an internship over this winter break). So I decided to buckle down and improve the overall look of my blog for readers' enjoyment.
I've added another tab to the top of this page, called "Posts by Category." There you will find all posts from the beginning of this blog till today, neatly categorized for your reading pleasure. I figured it would be easier to find old posts if I laid it out this way, a la reddit.
I've also updated the layout of this blog to be easier to navigate and to read.
A few of the design changes:
1. Unclicked links show up in orange while clicked links show in purple.
2. The text is now larger font Arial.
3. The page width is more condusive to less scrolling and more reading, and also allows me to upload images in full-resolution without the width "overflowing." Also allows us to use our wide screens more effectively (assuming you have a computer with a widescreen resolution).
4. Got rid of all the sidebars, which were unnecessary and took up space that could be used by article content.

Swingline Keychain Stapler
Staplers seem to be the hip new topic of the Typosphere, so I thought I'd share the one I've been using for the past 5 years or so. I carry it with me in my backpack, and it comes in handy for stapling together math homework just before turning it in.
I often enjoy my 5 minutes of celebrity status as everyone scrambles before class to get their homework stapled; often times we lose points if our work is not stapled together. Of course, most, myself included, forget about stapling it until time comes to turn it in.
I like the folding design; most people who use it comment on the sleek lines and folding mechanism.
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. (taken with my Logitech C920 webcam)
