I have been eying these up at my local Wal-mart, as I am need of a new watch. One question, does it have a backlight feature? This is why I need a new watch; the one I have does not, and it feels as though I only have a watch half the time, as I cannot read it once it gets dark. I could not seem to find it at the store, and would appreciate an actual customers review. Awesome watch.
@ Ken Coghlan: No, unfortunately it does not have a backlight. But I would suggest a Timex Ironman watch if you like digital. They are indestructible (I have had mine for at least 3 years and the only thing wrong with it is the strap, which is ripping, so I got another, extremely similar one, which shows no wear after about a month of heavy college-student-in-marching-band wear) and come in multiple colors and styles. They're built for triathlon athletes, so the toughness is pretty much guaranteed.
If analog, still get Timex; I basically wear nothing but Timex, but the Casio calculator watch seemed too good to be true, and the Timex ones look infinitely less original and more lame than the Casio. But I literally fell off my scooter and slammed my analog, Carriage-brand Timex-made watch into the concrete; it kept on ticking even though the casing was totally scratched. They are indestructible and water resistant. TIMEX.
Nice watch and nice to know there are still some around. I had several versions of the early Texas Instruments LED digital watches and calculator watches. The calculator watches are so very handy, except I got so accustomed to the back light I have gone back to Timex years ago. Even though Timex is no longer made in the USA they are very hard to beat; Timex ... it keeps on ticking.
